Internships


Internship opportunities are now available for college students. Our internships are non-paying and are available for two to three months throughout the year. Students enrolled for Journalism, Writing, Social work, Liberal Arts, Wed Design, Video Production, Film, Photography, Sales, and Marketing can apply. If your discipline is not listed but think you can do your internship with Imprisoned Show, please send us your email. Current Positions:

 

Fundraising intern

Essential Job Duties:

•Provide support in planning, development, and implementation of the Enitan Story events

•Ensure that the vision and direction for the Enitan Story events are in alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.

•Supports in developing and monitoring budget and timelines for the events.

•Looks for opportunities of sponsorship, individual donations and auction items.

•Work closely with team and contribute with ideas outside of fundraising

Qualifications

Required:

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

 

Community Relations Intern

The Community Relations Intern will work with the Executive Director in projects related to partnerships (Schools, churches, etc.) and events. The Community Relations Intern will help build new partnerships and maintain existing ones. This will be achieved by actively engaging potential partners through various means of communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Executive Director as main means of communication with partnerships
  • Research companies and organizations for possible partnerships
  • Coordinate community outreach events with local partnerships
  • Assist with the planning and marketing of organizational events
  • Assist with outside projects as needed

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

 

Accounting Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial records and reconcile discrepancies using Quickbooks
  • Prepare annual budget with help from Executive Director and Board of Directors
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Monitor cash flow

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Quickbooks
  • Professional Accounting experience or studying Accounting
  • Bookkeeping skills
  • Proficient with MS Office

 

Position: Video Editor

Hours: Flexible

Job Descriptions: Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Downloading footage and Editing Imprisoned Show
  • Creating promotional media for events
  • Updating the website with necessary pictures, quotes, text updates, press, etc.
  • Creating program device materials and documents
  • Designing in-house documents
  • Creating promotional material for The Enitan Story action-based projects which may require you to go to an active program and solicit direction from the participants
  • Updating any and all Imprisoned Show documents
  • Make DVD Copies and labels of Imprisoned Show for our guests and other Public Access Stations
  • Post Videos on Youtube

 

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work on a project-by-project basis
  • Ability to take direction on projects, but utilize your creativity and “designers eye” to point out where you see necessary directional changes.
  • Well-developed organization skills with a solid orientation to detail.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly creative and confident in editing capabilities
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing software, especially Final Cut Pro.

 

Position: Camera Men

Position Description: Working  10 – 20 hours per month depending on production schedule. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Filming Imprisoned Show at the studio
  • Filming Imprisoned Show at a public function
  • Filming Imprisoned Show at other venues as stipulated
  • Taking pictures of guests/set during production

 

Experience:

  • Video camera operation preferred but not a must. Interested volunteers or interns will be trained.
  • Strong ability to work independently or with a team
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
