Global Modern Slavery Directory Connects Local Victims with Help


 

Human trafficking advocacy group, Polaris has created a global database called Global Modern Slavery Directory to connect victims with agencies that provide services and help. The group released a report recently documenting various agencies across the world. Victims can search the database to find a nearby agency. Where victims previously may have experienced difficulty finding help, the website will provide instant network of agencies, phone numbers, addresses, and resources. Some of the Minnesota agencies listed included International Institute of Minnesota, Breaking Free Inc., Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center, and The Advocates for Human Rights.
