Catholic Charities Preview Lives For Sale

The Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis will preview a human trafficking documentary, Lives For Sale tonight between 3:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m at the Catholic Charities Seton Building, 1276 University Avenue, West St. Paul, Minnesota.

The organization has invited the public to join the human trafficking cause for the 58 minutes video. Lives for Sale is a joint production between  MaryKnoll and Lightfoot Films, in association with Odyssey Networks.

According to the Catholic News Service, the documentary “humanizes the plight of the immigrant in a most heartfelt way.” The United nations has estimated 27 million people living in slavery around the world, while human trafficking is  the second most lucrative illegal commercial activity, generating as estimated $32 billion per year in profit.
