Over 3000 Victims Rescued by Polaris Project

Polaris Project, A national human trafficking agency has rescued over 3000 victims of human trafficking from their traffickers. A newsletter signed by the executive director of the organization, Bradley Myles showed that the organization has experienced success and progress in its rescuing project. According to him, “3,000 survivors connected to immediate assistance by the National human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) hotline in 2012” and “ 73% more victims and survivors found and called the hotline themselves compared to last year.”

In the same year, the organization is proud to announce the passing of 23 new state laws to protect victims and punish traffickers. “We also are working closely with the White House on new, far-reaching anti-trafficking initiatives. For me, it was an electrifying moment to attend the Clinton Global Initiative in September and listen to President Obama make a historic commitment to end human trafficking, Myles said.

The organization has trained over 10,000 people and offered 89 support groups for victims and survivors healing. Plus, it answered its 60,000th call on the National human Trafficking hotline.
